UPCOMING EVENTS

Didi Hirsch will be hosting its Annual Open House and Mixer for 2010 MFT, MSW and Psychology Graduates on May 1, 2010.  This event provides a "day in the life" perspective for therapists wish to work in a community mental health setting.  Program Managers from our various adult and child programs offer details about the type of work, client populations, case loads and treatment theories used within our organization.

In order to participate for this event, individuals must apply and be selected for one of the limited spots available.   Though its an open house, we routinely look to hire individuals from this event and therefore screen using similiar criteria as we do for prospective employees.

We are looking for individuals who have earned or will earn their MFT, MSW, Psy.D or Ph.D (Psychology) degree in December 2009 - August 2010, are knowledgeable about the DSM, are experience working within the recovery model, familiar with evidenced-based practices, able to work both independently and part of a multidisciplinary team, critical thinkers and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.  Experience in a community mental health setting and with Los Angeles Department of Mental Heatlh paperwork requirements is also strongly desired.

The application will be available online from April 1st through April 17th.  Notifications will be sent out by April 24th.
