This year's Alive & Running for Suicide Prevention 5K Walk/Run was held on Sunday, September 28 at Westchester Parkway.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Suicide Prevention Center, this year's Alive & Running Suicide Prevention 5K Walk/Run hosted more than 4,000 walker and runners to raise awareness about the needless loss of life to suicide. Each year, more than 30,000 people die by suicide than by AIDS or by homicide.
Please join us at next year's race to raise crucial funds for our Suicide Prevention Center and its programs, including the 24-hour suicide prevention Crisis Line, and Survivors After Suicide - a bereavement support program for those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
Watch a video on You Tube to give you a glimpse of the excitement on race day!
