NULA Honors Didi Hirsch CEO and Medical Director

At The Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month Reception, Dr. Curry was honored with the Outstanding Services Award and Dr. Bonds received the Excellence in Treatment Award.

The event took place Thursday, July 15 at the California African American Museum in honor of Bebe Moore Campbell, celebrated journalist, author and co-founder of NAMI Urban Los Angeles (NULA). Bebe dedicated her life to educating and advocating for our loved ones dealing with mental illness. 

Bebe's Month; the month of July, is dedicated to raising the community's awareness about mental illness and that long-term stabilization is possible.


NAMI Urban Los Angeles (NULA) is the urban affiliate of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.  It is a non-profit, grassroots, self-help, volunteer organization.  It provides education support and advocacy for families and their loved ones dealing with mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders among others.
